OUR 2012 ANGLICAN CHURCH CALENDARS ARE HERE!

Cost: $9.00 each - For a gift or for your own home.

Please see Ruth or Jack Faulks, John Pike or Marie in the office.

FLOWER DELIVERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

After Sunday service, we wrap and deliver the flowers for that Sunday to shut-ins in homes, residences and parishioners in hospital and to those celebrating a special occasion. We have an opening for Week 4 of the Month in particular and for the occasional Week 5, also. Please see/phone Ruth Faulks or Marie in the office if you can help with this worthwhile ministry. It would certainly be appreciated.

NEWSPAPERS FOR ASCENSION'S KITCHEN

Please bring in your old newspapers to be used for food waste in the kitchen. Please do not include the glossy, coloured pages. Thanks for your help.

ANNUAL CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT THE ACHIEVEMENT BREAKFAST CLUB (ABC)

Donations for the ABC Breakfast Club Program are always needed. Pledge forms are at the back of the church. Your gifts are most welcome, and can be made anytime by mail or at the office. Tax receipts are issued at the end of the year. If you can renew your gift to this program, it would greatly help with the Ascension’s expenses in running this important Breakfast program for the children at Queen Victoria Elementary school. Every Child Deserves a Good Start to Their Day.

EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION

We will continue to ask parishioners to fill out the Emergency Form available at the back of the church so that your relative/friend can be contacted in case of sudden illness, etc. Please put your completed form in the wicker basket provided on the Wardens’ Table. If you wish to add more info to your handed-in “Parishioner Emergency Contact” Form, please phone the office.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE LIST

For the benefit of new parishioners, please note that the Ascension Prayers of the People list located in the binder at the back of the church is a tool for all Ascension parishioners to note the names of family and friends they would like prayers offered for, on their behalf. The printing of their names in the Sunday bulletin starts anew every three months. January started a new cycle. Please contact Margaret Gibbs if you wish to have a name carried forward.

ST MATTHEW'S HOUSE DONATIONS

Please remember the families who need assistance. Donations of canned goods, cereals, baby food, diapers etc. can be dropped off at the church during office hours. Donated items can also be dropped off on Sunday in the basket provided. This month SOUP is the featured item.
